ADC Engineer, Cryptography / Identity
About the Role
AWS Identity & Access is building the next generation of cloud computing security supporting public AWS offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, single sign-on, and more. We enable our customers to control some of the most sensitive secrets on the Internet.
A successful ACE Engineer does much more than plug computers together and track changes. They are instrumental in deploying, operating, and scaling a massive always-on distributed system that is core to all of AWS. We are looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to join our fast-moving and passionate team.
Clearance Requirement
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, and scale a massive always-on distributed system
- Implement and operate some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world
- Provide organizations with building block web services including on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, querying of structured data, message queuing, and more
Basic Qualifications
- Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), or Associate's degree
- 3+ years Linux systems administration experience
- 3+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
- 2+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

- Comptia Security+
Pay
- Base salary range: $116,900.00 - $167,400.00 USD annually (USA, WA, Bellevue)
- Sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs)
- Final compensation determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location
