About the role

We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer to join our systems organization. You will work with internal and external customers to execute projects and resolve issues, embracing the dev-ops model of service engineering. This role involves running operations in an environment where developers collaborate closely, and you will work with empowered, world-class engineers to meet world-class challenges. With a strong ownership bias, you will continually improve how things are done.

AWS Cryptography and Identity are building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security, innovating massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, and more. You will enable customers to control some of the most sensitive secrets on the Internet. This role offers the opportunity to impact some of the largest-scaled systems in the world while working with some of the smartest people in the industry.

A successful Systems Development Engineer will do more than write code and triage problems. You will work with Amazon's largest and most demanding customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services, dive deep into technical issues, and improve the customer experience. This position is based in Seattle and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. After starting, you must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which you perform AWS work.
