About the role
We are currently seeking an ADAS & Electrical Engineering Manager for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to solve high-profile real-world problems for clients relating to electrical and electronics systems.
- Perform analyses relating to cutting edge electrical and electronic systems including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion; communicate project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff; ensure that Exponent meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product; identify business development opportunities.
- Develop and manage client relationships.
- Handle project and cost management on casework.
- Critically assess systems and device designs in safety-related risk assessments.
- Perform hands-on testing and analysis of electrical and electronics field failures.
- Prepare technical proposals, pursue business developments, and supervise and manage laboratory testing.
- Critically assess test results, methods of analysis and testing protocols, generate new testing protocols based on new product designs, maintain a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and report writing.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience after completing a Ph.D., or at least 3 years of relevant experience after completing a position as a postdoctoral researcher.
- Technical background in electronics, electrical circuits, controls or embedded systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
- Able to gather information and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and related industry.
- Able to generate business and manage client relationships.
- Able to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice and its consulting services.
Skills
