Our Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Manager level role in our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice based in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA, or Bellevue, WA. This role involves combining scientific and engineering principles with robust subject-specific expertise to deliver high-value solutions to complex technical problems.

• Perform electrical engineering analyses and consulting related to electrical/electronic systems.
• Support project areas including failure analysis, risk assessment, reliability, design, manufacturing, and others.
• Conduct electrical fault isolation at IC and PCB levels using analytical tools like LIT, OBIRCH, X-Rays.
• Conduct electrical schematic and safety design reviews on consumer electronic devices.
• Participate throughout the project lifecycle: scoping and proposals, customized testing, data collection and analysis, report drafting, and client presentations.
• Pursue business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field such as Applied Physics.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, electronics, controls, embedded systems, or automation.
• Experience in designing, constructing, and performing tests in a laboratory setting.
• Experience with data centers and power management (preferred).
• Experience with data analysis automation (preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical staff.
• Self-starter with strong fundamentals, interested in learning about new topics.

Career Growth

At Exponent, our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Our total compensation plan includes base salary, annual bonus, and a 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary. The base salary range for this position is USD $172,500.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
