Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, Ripon,
Position Overview
The Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality services to special education students and collaborates with educational teams to develop and implement individualized programs. This role includes specialized instruction, consultation with staff, and supporting student growth through adapted physical education.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid State Teaching Certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
- Minimum one (1) year of teaching experience preferred
- Standard Elementary Teaching Certification preferred
- Standard Secondary Teaching Certification preferred
- Standard Special Teaching Certification preferred
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement preferred
- Compliance with all professional standards of practice
- CPR Certification (if applicable)
- TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
