About the role
The ADA & Accommodations Specialist provides subject-matter expertise in administering and coordinating workplace accommodations within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) environment. This role serves as the primary resource for employees, managers, and clients on the interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)/Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), Public Whistleblower Fairness Act (PWFA), and related accommodation requirements. The Specialist ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, while balancing organizational needs, employee well-being, and client expectations. In addition to managing complex accommodation requests, this role assists in developing policies and procedures, harmonizing accommodation practices across multiple jurisdictions in a PEO setting with a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Provides subject-matter expertise in administering and coordinating workplace accommodations.
- Serves as the primary resource for employees, managers, and clients on the interactive process under the ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, and related accommodation requirements.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assists in developing policies and procedures.
- Manages complex accommodation requests.
- Harmonizes accommodation practices across multiple jurisdictions in a PEO setting with a diverse client base.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ADA/ADAAA accommodation administration, leave management, or disability case management (PEO or multi-state environment preferred).
- Strong knowledge of ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, FMLA, and related employment laws.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain leave and accommodation processes clearly and empathetically to employees and clients.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HRIS, case management, or CRM systems (UKG Ready or similar preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Qualifications

Pay
Salary is $58,000 - $75,000/year | Credit given for experience
