Responsibilities
- Manage the entire accommodation request process, including administration, case management, and program compliance.
- Ensure adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA).
- Engage with applicants, employees, medical professionals, supervisors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate reasonable accommodations.
- Draft compliant correspondence and document all interactions and determinations thoroughly.
- Facilitate lactation arrangements and maintain related records.
- Evaluate employee restrictions and accommodation options, considering policies and business priorities.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
- Collaborate with clinical staff to assess employee restrictions and return-to-work accommodations.
- Assist in managing employee leave and ensure safety priorities are met.
- Communicate with medical providers to validate documentation supporting accommodation requests.
- Ensure documentation meets ADA and DOL recordkeeping standards.
- Provide training on ADA accommodations, lactation breaks, and job reassignment procedures.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
- Facilitate ergonomic evaluations and stay current with relevant laws and regulations.
- Partner with external agencies such as the Job Accommodation Network (JAN).
Qualifications
- Experience with ADA interactive process required.
- Strong case management and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws related to disability accommodations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Relevant certifications related to ADA compliance or human resources preferred.
