Acute Speech Therapist Pool

About the role

South Florida Baptist Hospital is seeking an Acute Speech Therapist/Pool (PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to the community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and strategies for continued recovery.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to discharge planning.
• Provide mentorship and clinical guidance to students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as needed.

Requirements

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Speech Therapy License Required
• Master's Speech Therapy Preferred
• Doctorate Speech Therapy 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
