About the Role
As an Acute Radiology Technologist, you will perform X-rays and educate patients in a busy hospital setting. This full-time, varied-shift position includes weekend rotation, call, and holiday coverage. You’ll join a supportive, teamwork-oriented department focused on delivering an excellent patient experience while making a positive impact in your community.
Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines, using independent judgment and established methodologies.
- Educates patients and families regarding procedures, risks, and prevention.
- Demonstrates professional behavior, fosters teamwork, and ensures efficient use of resources to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- Produces high-quality images and prepares/presents them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements; troubleshoots and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors; adheres to safety policies.
- Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including confidentiality.
- Assures efficient department workflow by performing other duties as assigned.
- Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
- Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies and protocols.
Requirements
- Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiology program.
- National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure by the applicable regulatory agency, if required.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
- Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and solve problems.

- Additional related education and/or experience.
