Core Functions
- Performs the setup and acquisition of prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility/state policies and procedures.
- Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
- Processes the prescribed diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established departmental/facility/state policies and procedures.
- Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
- Ability to trouble-shoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
- Schedules and re-evaluates workflow throughout the day to ensure efficient operation and workflow of the department.
- Ensures exam rooms are stocked, performs room set-up, establishes patient transport, and schedules coordination with multi-disciplinary team members.
- Prepares and maintains accurate documentation in accordance with established departmental/facility policies and procedures.
- Adheres to safety policies.
- Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility/state policies, procedures and protocols to patients.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Practical Radiologic Technologist or Limited Scope Technologist licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
- BLS certification.
- One year of experience.
- Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and solve basic problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
