Acute Medicine Pulmonary Nurse - Days

About the role

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients with acute medical conditions, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within established nursing standards.
• Promote patient- and family-centered care, including education on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patients, and families.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; experienced nurses are encouraged to apply.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work safely and remain alert in a high-acuity environment.
