Role Summary

Provides high-quality nursing care for patients with acute medical conditions, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment. Promotes patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Develops and implements individualized care plans, communicating effectively across care teams and considering patient preferences, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while engaging in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred
  • RN license essential
  • Experience not required for entry-level; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment

Key Duties

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
  • Ensure communication of care plans across the continuum
  • Promote a healing environment and contribute to quality improvement efforts
