About the Role
Provides direct patient care in an acute care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an acute care setting.
- Promote patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized care plans.
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all aspects of patient care.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients while respecting their preferences and barriers to involvement.
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to standards of nursing care.
Requirements
- Active RN license required.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years of experience preferred for higher roles.
