Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain dialysis machines with precision to ensure safe and effective treatments
- Monitor vital signs and treatment parameters, responding appropriately to changes to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff as a trusted partner in care, ensuring seamless, high-quality treatments
- Serve as the critical link between the patient and the nurse, using strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Schedule
This is a full-time, day-shift role with a typical start time between 7:00-8:00 AM. The schedule is dynamic and supports patient census needs in an acute care environment.
Locations
You will provide care at partner hospitals in the Mount Clemens area, including McLaren Macomb Hospital, McLaren Port Huron Hospital, and Select Specialty Hospital - Macomb.
Requirements
- Completion of a Dialysis Training program and current CCHT Certification
- Minimum of one year of experience as a dialysis technician
- Strong patient assessment abilities and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team setting
- Must successfully pass Ishihara's Color Blindness test
