Job Summary

The Medical Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse will provide and coordinate care for patients. The RN collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to deliver physical and psychological support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient rounding to maximize patient satisfaction and quality standards.
• Conduct assessments and reassessments, develop individualized plans of care, and administer medications.
• Document care, provide patient and family education, and maintain equipment properly.
• Communicate patient needs effectively to the care team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, treatment ranges, and age‑appropriate care.
• Promote customer service initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process to meet individual patient needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current licensure by the Tennessee Board of Nursing or another acceptable Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Commit to pursue and complete Med‑Surg certification within 1 year of hire.
