Acute Care Technician - Med Surg Urology
About the role
The 14AB unit at TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital is a high-acuity medical-surgical unit focusing on adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions, including diabetes complications, pneumonia, cellulitis, encephalopathy, and remote telemetry. It also cares for renal and urology surgery patients such as those who have undergone nephrectomies, prostatectomies, TURPs, and those with continuous bladder irrigation.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under RN supervision
- Maintains competency in trained skills and reports hazards
- Maintains a safe, clean environment by following infection control policies and adhering to safety procedures
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members
- Supports unit operations by performing supply, equipment, and environmental tasks

Requirements
- 2 years High School Education
- Age 17 with work permit
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
- Experience as an STNA, PCA, or ACT preferred
Qualifications

Part Time Nights - (48 hours bi-weekly) 6:30pm - 7:00am Every 3rd weekend rotation.
