About the Role

Our unit operates on an acute crisis stabilization model, ensuring patients receive urgent care to regain stability and well-being. We use a multidisciplinary team approach, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and Acute Care Technicians (ACTs), to deliver personalized and holistic care.

Our unit includes a dedicated 10-bed geriatric space for dementia and cognitive impairment, plus 28 additional beds for adults experiencing depression and other mental illnesses. Patients typically stay for 5–7 days, supported by a team of RNs, LPNs, ACTs, therapists, and social workers across all shifts. We maintain an average patient-to-staff ratio of 1:5.

We offer a 5–6-week orientation, adjustable based on learning needs, and all new team members attend CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) de-escalation training. While psychiatric/behavioral health experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates eager to learn in a supportive environment.
