Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) - Day

Location: Select Specialty Hospital Harrisburg inside UPMC Harrisburg

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Weekend rotation and rotating holidays
• Days or Nights available

Pay

• $40.12–$54.00 per hour (based on years of experience)
• Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends
• Sign-on bonus: up to $15,000

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events
• Instruct and counsel patients/families
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS is required at hire
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire

Qualifications

Minimum

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS certification

Preferred

• 2 years clinical experience; at least 1 year in acute care or LTAC
• Clinical experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Step down, PCU, Trauma, or Acute Rehab
