Registered Nurse (RN) - Day

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. RNs play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Extensive and thorough orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into the hospital setting.
• Participate in systematic patient assessments, timely and accurate documentation, and interpretation of diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately, and competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS certification at hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Preferred qualifications include clinical experience.

Skills

• Compassion and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and provide emotional support.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and interpretation of diagnostic data.
• Knowledge of rapid response and code events management.

Pay

• $46.81 - $63.00 per hour.
• Competitive shift differentials for weekends ($3).

Schedule

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts.
