Acute Care Occupational Therapy Assistant
About the Role
We are currently looking for an ambitious Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a COTA, you will assist with the coordination of patient-centered and occupational-based goals to ensure diagnostic and therapeutic services and rehabilitation for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Accurately follow established treatment plan to set measurable and achievable goals to reach maximum functional independence for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Record, monitor, and review clinical data, providing feedback to Occupational Therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance.
- Within scope of practice and under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient.
- Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively affect overall patient experience.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Florida.
- Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistance.
