Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time Nights)

About the role

We are hiring for a Part-Time Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Qualifications

• Nurse practitioner board certification required.
• Acute Care Training Strongly preferred.
• Prior hospitalist inpatient preferred.
• For a new grad NP, experience as an inpatient RN within the ICU or acute care settings is ideal.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with two nocturnist physicians on the night shift, managing admissions and responding to rapid responses and stroke alerts.
• Welcome the challenge of highly complex cases. Our ICU is closed. Procedures and codes are not required, and we are grateful for 24/7 in-house specialty support in all but just a few specialty areas.
• The population we serve is very ill.

Scheduling

This role is for a part-time nocturnist 7p-7a coverage with the expectation of approximately 7-night shifts per month. Block schedule.
