About the role
The successful candidate will join the Division of Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care at Albany Medical College, which includes 13 faculty members who staff an ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center and a 30-bed critical care unit. Albany Medical Center is the only tertiary care medical center and Level I trauma center in northeastern New York, serving a catchment population of 3 million people with approximately 4,600 trauma admissions per year. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon interested in academic growth.

- BC/BE Acute Care Surgeon
- Strong interest in academic growth

- Board Certification in Acute Care Surgery

Benefits
The 30-bed Critical Care unit is composed of a Surgical ICU and Neuro ICU that accepts more than 1600 admissions per year. The service staffs a separate cardiac surgical unit and vascular surgical ICU’s. Albany Medical Center is northeastern New York’s only academic health sciences center and the largest private sector employer in the Capital Region. The Center incorporates the 734-bed Albany Medical Center Hospital, one of New York's largest teaching hospitals.
