About the role
CNO Financial Group is hiring an Actuarial Intern to work alongside experienced Actuaries, assisting with professional Actuarial day-to-day work within the Life, Health, and Annuity spaces. This is a paid internship at competitive rates, with Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays as paid days off.
Responsibilities
- Simplify and standardize valuation calculations.
- Work with actuarial software packages.
- Provide clear documentation and communication of technical work.
- Improve actuarial projections for pricing and valuation.
Requirements
- Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Status as a rising junior or rising senior, with expected graduation dates between December 2027 and June 2029.
- At least one passed Actuarial exam towards SOA designation.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks during the summer.
- Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred, or willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship experience.
- Experience balancing education and a part-time job during the school year.
- Participation in university clubs.
- Two or more passed exams towards SOA designation.

The 2027 internship program will run from May 17 through August 6, 2027.

Work Environment
CNO supports a flexible work environment and encourages Associates to work where they are most productive. This position may work fully remote from any US-based location, provided they are able to work Central or Eastern Time hours. All work must be performed within the United States, and occasional travel to corporate offices may be required. Associates living within 60 miles of a corporate office (Carmel, IN or Chicago, IL) have access to work from that location as needed.
