Actuarial Health Care Consultant

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Analyze and report on client and state specific requests, including ability to analyze, review, interpret, and summarize detailed medical claims and enrollment data.
• Independently determines methodologies and approach for project.
• Lead the development of client deliverables including written documents.
• Manage timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
• Ensures all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review.
• Actively communicates project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members).
• Participate in client meetings, client presentations and internal team meetings.
• Hybrid work schedule available for local candidates.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in related field, or an internship.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a professional environment performing actuarial, data, financial or health care related analyses and consulting.
• Achieve professional certifications relative to area of expertise, and preserve required licenses.
• Thorough understanding of health care delivery, with emphasis on Medicaid.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Expertise using Microsoft Office suite.
• Presentation skills.
• Proficient use of applicable technology.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally.
