Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial and financial analyses supporting Medicare, Medicaid, and Value-Based Care initiatives
- Analyze medical claims experience, healthcare utilization trends, and financial performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Support risk adjustment, pricing, forecasting, reserving, and healthcare economics projects
- Absorb clients in evaluating business strategies, market opportunities, and operational performance
- Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for client leadership teams
- Work with large healthcare datasets to generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on consulting engagements across the healthcare industry
- Participate in business development efforts, research, and proposal support activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- ASA or near-ASA preferred (4+ actuarial exams passed)
- 4+ years of health actuarial experience
- Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Value-Based Care initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working with healthcare data and actuarial modeling techniques
