About the role
Everest Reinsurance Company is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our International Pricing team in Miami, Warren, or New York. In this role, you will perform pricing analysis for P&C and Specialty reinsurance, develop and price innovative risk transfer solutions with clients and brokers, primarily in Latin America and the Middle East & Africa. You will analyze portfolio profitability, collaborate on pricing tool enhancements, and support the Latin American and/or Middle Eastern books of business.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with underwriting and management in support of our international book of business
- Collaborate closely with Underwriters on technical assessments and exposure analysis
- Perform transactional actuarial pricing analyses, conduct lines of business studies, profitability reviews, portfolio management, and ad-hoc modeling work
- Work with the Solutions team to develop and test new models related to reinsurance pricing, as well as improve existing models
- Ensure consistency and adherence to best practices with other actuaries across International branches
- Support other global reinsurance pricing teams as needed
Requirements
- Actuarial, Math, or Science-related degree with excellent computer/data manipulation skills
- 1-5 years of P&C actuarial pricing experience; reinsurance experience a plus
- Demonstrated progress toward an actuarial designation by a recognized body
- Experience in project work and tool development
- Ideally has line of business experience in Latin America, Caribbean, and/or Middle Eastern markets
Skills
- Experience with Python, R, or SQL is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Spanish and/or Portuguese fluency preferred
- Keen to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams; good team player
- Business-oriented focus (motivated, self-directed, organized, and analytical)
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $139,740 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location.
