About the role

The role involves being in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity while offering flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This hybrid model combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work.

Responsibilities

  • Applies actuarial analytical tools to data and performs preliminary actuarial and statistical analysis.
  • Updates actuarial pricing, valuation, and forecasting models as directed.
  • Coordinates and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Prepares analyses and communicates findings and recommendations to actuarial colleagues, business partners, and leadership.

Requirements

Requires a BA/BS degree and passing a minimum of one Society of Actuaries (SOA) or Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) actuarial exam; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with one or more analytical or programming tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, or VBA.
  • Interest or experience using AI-enabled tools for analysis, automation, or productivity.
  • Progress toward actuarial credentials beyond the minimum requirement.

Benefits

The salary range for this specific position is $66,240 to $99,360, subject to geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level.

The salary offered for this specific position is based on a number of legitimate, non-discriminatory factors set by the Company. Schedule

Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week, depending on the specific requirements and expectations discussed during the hiring process.
