Activity Therapist - Per Diem

Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, adolescents with general psychiatric issues, and patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. The hospital also offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.

About the role

The Activity Therapist is a key member of the inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team, delivering expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on the inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4-5 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in a creative arts therapy modality (art, music, dance), mental health counseling, or a related field
• Art Therapy or other expressive art certification preferred
• Evening and weekend availability required
