About the role
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Activity Security Representative II to support the customer’s facility and organization in Cape Canaveral, FL. This role provides essential, multi-disciplined security operations, delivering vital "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities within a mission-driven, highly secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence while maintaining the document accountability database.
- Process, track, and safely destroy classified materials, magnetic media, and incoming/outgoing mail.
- Manage facility access control, including processing visit notices, issuing badges, performing entry/exit inspections, and escorting visitors.
- Conduct comprehensive candidate background reviews using the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP systems.
- Execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires and perform data entry and record checks within the Joint Access Database (JADE).
- Administer personnel security files, update customer-sponsored billets, and deliver clear security indoctrinations and education programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; an additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 6+ years of related security experience.
- 3+ years supporting SCI or SAR programs.
- Ability to complete the following training within six months of hire: DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training, Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), SIMS database, and JPAS/DISS.
- Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep familiarity with ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals, and other foundational national security policy documents.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic military-civilian environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
