Activity Aide CBRF
Job Summary
As an Activity Aide in a Community-Base Residential Facility (CBRF), you will support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being by planning and facilitating engaging activities tailored to their abilities and interests. This role involves organizing group and one-on-one programs such as games, crafts, exercise, and social events, while encouraging participation and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. The Activity Aide works closely with care staff to ensure activities align with residents’ care plans, monitors resident responses, and helps maintain a safe, respectful atmosphere that promotes quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead designated activities with residents
- Adhere to and convey a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence and choice and individuality of the residents
- Assist residents to participate in activities and outings
- Visit with residents
- Assist residents in other ways as needed
- Document resident participation in activities
- Be a positive representative of Wellington Place at Meadows
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age
- Speaks and understands the English language, with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds consistently, occasionally lift over 50 pounds and to spend long periods of time on his/her feet
- Must pass a background check
- Must have a teamwork attitude
