About the role

The Activities Coordinator plays a crucial role in enriching the lives of Southview Acres Healthcare Center's residents through organized activities, ensuring they have access to fun and entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and creating the program calendar
• Attending interdisciplinary treatment teams (IDT)
• Completing assessments and care plans
• Participating in care conferences
• Supervising volunteers
• Implementing group and one-to-one programs
• Planning and executing special events

Requirements

• A college diploma with a degree in therapeutic recreation, music therapy, or COTA
• Experience working in long-term care or memory care settings
• A music background is preferred but not required
• A strong desire to care for others
• A caring demeanor and positive attitude
• The motivation to complete tasks promptly and efficiently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• A collaborative work ethic
