About the role

Join our dynamic activities team at Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 117-bed skilled nursing facility owned and operated by Salter Healthcare since 1976. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the unique needs of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents
• Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed
• Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility
• Facilitate activities and remain aware of all residents at all times
• Clean up after each activity and prepare for the next one
• Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program
• Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred
