Activities Director

About the role

We are Regency Albany, a skilled nursing community located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as Activities Director.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise enrichment opportunities to meet the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs of each patient/resident.
• Partner with the care team and residents' families to help residents reach their highest potential.
• Develop, organize, implement, and evaluate an activity program.
• Assess resident needs and create meaningful morning, afternoon, and evening programs.
• Promote the monthly schedule of activities.
• Maintain public relations and rapport with community groups to provide outside opportunities for residents (church services, concerts, school visits, etc.).
• Document medical records regarding residents' attitude, participation level, etc., and attend care conferences.
• Affords resident council.
• Train, orient, and manage volunteers.
• Manage budgets.
• Work independently.
• Relate positively and effectively with others.
• Advocate for the senior population.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in social/recreational healthcare programs.
• Possess a valid driver's license and private vehicle.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Hours are flexible but generally 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
