As an Activities Director you will develop, plan, organize and direct the implementation of activity/recreation programs in accordance with current state and federal guidelines and regulations, and Company policies and procedures. Programs are designed in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and the physical, mental, spiritual and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Must Have Minimum of 2 years of experience planning and delivering activity programs for older adults in a healthcare, senior living, or similar settingExperience working with individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, with the ability to adapt activities to residents’ cognitive and physical abilitiesAbility to develop and lead a varied activity calendar that supports residents’ social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-beingStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate events, outings, supplies, and multiple prioritiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partnersAbility to lead others, provide direction, and collaborate with other departmentsFlexibility, creativity, patience, and the ability to adapt to changing resident needsKnowledge of resident rights, safety practices, and applicable assisted living and memory care requirements related to activity programming Nice To Have Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, human services, or a related fieldCertification or training in therapeutic recreation, activity programming, or dementia carePrevious experience as an Activities Director or in a similar leadership roleSupervisory experience, including training staff and coordinating volunteersPrevious experience in assisted living or memory careExperience managing an activity budget, coordinating vendors and entertainers, and organizing community outings Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, veteran or disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
