Activities Director

About the Role

Join our team at Northrise Wellness & Rehabilitation and help us provide the best care for our patients! We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Activities Director to lead our recreational therapy program at our Las Cruces, NM facility. As the Activities Director, you will be the driving force behind creating a fun and engaging environment for our residents. You will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail will be essential in creating a sense of community and camaraderie among our residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a wide range of recreational activities, including but not limited to arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise programs, and social events
• Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations to access resources and services for our residents
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of activities and events
• Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of activities and programs to meet the changing needs of our residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that incorporate recreational therapy
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and events

Requirements

• Minimum 0 years of experience in recreational therapy or a related field
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
