Activities Director

About the role

Bella Terra Morton Grove is seeking an Activities Director to join our compassionate and multilingual team. This is a full-time salary exempt position with a flexible schedule including weekdays and some weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure resident engagement and satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance resident experiences.
• Oversee the implementation of cultural programming tailored to diverse backgrounds.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in post-acute care and rehabilitation.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in gerontology, recreation therapy, social work, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute engaging activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement processes.
• Experience with technology such as Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in multiple languages is preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, with some weekends as-needed.
