Activities Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Activities Director to plan, coordinate, and oversee a variety of recreational and social activities for our community in Creve Coeur, MO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging programs that promote wellness, social interaction, and personal growth among participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a diverse calendar of activities and events tailored to the interests and needs of the community.
• Cook up with staff, volunteers, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of activities.
• Promote activities through various communication channels to maximize participation.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make improvements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, budgets, and supplies related to activities.
• Sure all activities comply with safety regulations and organizational policies.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• Degree in Recreation, Leisure Studies, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in planning and directing activities or events, preferably in a community, senior living, memory care or recreational setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and event management software.
