Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through compassionate, personalized care. We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to lead our activities program, creating meaningful and therapeutic experiences tailored to each resident's needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement personalized activity programs that reflect the unique needs and preferences of our residents.
- Collaborate closely with the Administrator to ensure all activities meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain policies related to medical aspects of activity programming.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized activity care plans.
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure departmental success and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Certified Activities Professional (CAP) certification is required.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in Activities or Therapeutic Recreation in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
