Activities Director
At a Brightview community, the Vibrant Living Director serves as a champion and coach to our team of associates and residents, shaping and fostering a spirit of vibrant living. This role is dedicated to motivating and encouraging residents to live their fullest lives possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to all associates, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and vibrant social, physical, educational, and spiritual programs for residents.
- Monitor trends and new developments in senior living and related fields.
- Support the development and execution of robust, varied, and meaningful programs.
- Develop and share strategies and best practices.
- Serve as a project manager for company-wide initiatives and wellness initiatives.
- Develop and implement efficient strategies and tools to measure resident participation and satisfaction.
- Create a dramatic and positive impact on residents’ ability to live an active, vibrant life as part of the community leadership team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field that supports vibrant living in a senior environment (e.g., marketing, education, or geriatrics preferred).
- Minimum of seven years of experience in a high-energy, public role, with at least three years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Preferred experience in event or activities planning, sales, and/or training.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and influence others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional writing and grammar.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including logic, reasoning, and creative thinking for complex challenges.
- Experience working in a multi-site environment.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based applications (e.g., web conferencing).
- Ability to manage projects and organize multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of senior living regulations and safety considerations for working with seniors.
- Strong customer orientation toward older adults.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and energy.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Pay
Salary range: USD $70,000.00 – USD $80,000.00 per year. Offers will consider factors such as experience, qualifications, location, community size, certifications, and training. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.
