About the role

Touchmark at Mount Bachelor Village on the Westside of Bend is Central Oregon’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services, and amenities. We are seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator to join our Life Enrichment department. This role involves assisting in the planning and implementation of an activities program that meets the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Enrich lives by organizing and facilitating activities for residents.
• Exercise creativity and encourage participation in activities.
• Arrange, organize, and assist with activities both on and off campus, such as holiday and birthday celebrations, social events, community outings, and exercise programs.
• Work as part of a team to support the Life Enrichment department.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding resident status and medical history.
• Demonstrate patience and tact when interacting with residents, family members, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Genuine interest in working in a geriatric environment with elderly residents, including those with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
• Experience working with a social or recreational activities program (preferred but not required).
• Commitment to compassion, empathy, and safety.

Pay

This position starts at $19.89 per hour, with potential for more depending on experience.

Schedule

Variable hours with a casual status—no set schedule. Ability to pick up shifts and cover gaps as needed.
