About the role

As an Activities Coordinator at NeuroRestorative, you will conduct group and individual recreational activities tailored to the needs, capabilities, and interests of individuals with developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan and implement meaningful activities, focusing on the preferences of those served. You will also provide daily instruction and guidance to staff on activity delivery methods and techniques, and ensure the safety and care of individuals served.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct group and individual recreational activities based on individual needs, capabilities, and interests.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities.
  • Determine and implement necessary precautions to ensure the care and safety of individuals served.
  • Maintain curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure varied and age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted.
  • Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques.
  • Collaborate with staff at staff meetings to discuss and implement activity plans.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in Activity Coordinator preferred.
  • Two years’ experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance.
  • All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes.

Pay

$18.00-$21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule

32 hours/week, Monday-Friday; 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
