ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT - PARKVIEW
Job Description
Aids in planning, promoting, and leading individual and group activities tailored to the residents' needs and interests. Encourages social communication through organized activities. Assists residents in participating in religious programs and leisure activities. Assists with maintaining, storing, and utilizing activity supplies. Assists with organizing the volunteer program and appreciation events. Assists with transporting residents to and from activity programs. Assists with admissions assessments, clinical responsibilities, MDS, care plans, and progress notes according to established documentation policies and procedures. Facilitates community interaction programs.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous Activities Assistant, and/or Long Term Care/Memory Care/Assisted Living experience preferred
- Prefer Certification as an Activities Professional in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center
- Ability to interact positively with various patient personalities and collaborate effectively with other staff members
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding the English language
- Capable of managing stress and efficiently using resources
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License. Preferred: CDL license or ability to obtain one
