Activities Assistant Memory Care Unit

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our Memory Care team. This role is perfect for someone who has a heart for working with seniors and a passion for creating meaningful moments for individuals living with memory loss. The Activities Assistant helps plan and lead engaging programs that support residents’ emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. Every day is an opportunity to bring joy, comfort, and connection to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planning and implementing daily activity programs
• Leading small group and one-on-one engagement activities
• Encouraging resident participation in a supportive, respectful manner
• Creating a positive, stimulating environment for memory care residents
• Assisting with special events and celebrations
• Supporting residents’ individual interests and abilities
• Must be willing to work every other weekend

Qualifications

• Compassion and patience when working with seniors, especially those with dementia
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Creativity and enthusiasm
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Experience in activities, caregiving, or senior living preferred (but not required)
