Activities Assistant

About the role

Kauai Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in Waimea, near Eleele and Lihue, on the west side of Kauai. The facility aims to support recovery through its full range of Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Therapy treatments, collaborating with residents, their families, and medical providers to develop personalized plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise enrichment opportunities to meet the physical, social, cultural, spiritual, emotional, and recreational needs of each patient/resident.
• Assist the care team and residents' families, helping them reach their highest potential.
• Plan and execute resident activities on both a group and individual basis.
• Promote and follow the monthly schedule of activities.
• Document medical records regarding residents' attitude, participation level, etc., and attend care conferences.
• Report to the activities director.

Requirements

• Currently work independently.
• Relate positively and effectively with others.
• Advocate for the senior population.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license and private vehicle.

Skills

• Positive interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of senior care practices.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The position offers a part-time opportunity available for weekend rotation.
