About the role
As an Activities Assistant at Manatee Springs Care & Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in creating a vibrant community for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementing activities such as games, exercise programs, art classes, and social events
- Collaborating with other staff members to develop and implement individualized activity plans for each resident
- Conducting assessments to identify residents' interests and abilities, and tailoring activities accordingly
- Maintaining accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Participating in staff meetings to discuss resident care and activity updates
Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to lift, move, and position residents (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
