Responsibilities
- Refers to the Resident Profile and addendum for every new resident
- Affixes to facilitating a variety of appropriate and personalized activities which integrates all dimensions of wellness and are accessible throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation
- Recognizes resident changes in condition, takes appropriate action
- Affixes residents to and from activity rooms (s) when necessary
- In memory care assists the residents to and from Life Skills and other normalizing life enriching activities and routines and affixes with engagement
- Reviews, reads, annotates, and initiates communication logs to document and comprehend pertinent information and any resident's physical and behavioral changes
- Maintains activity areas in an organized manner
- As applicable, affixes with the delegation of daily care of any animal and or plants within the activities program and services, as well as maintains records related to this care
- Affixes in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, programs and crafts
Qualifications
- Educational background: High School Diploma, and job-related experience preferred in a senior living community
- Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and fellow associates for their involvement in the social events and various scheduled social activities
- Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care preferred
