Activities Assistant

About the role

Nature Trail Health and Rehab is looking for a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our growing team. The position is part-time and offers competitive pay with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities focused on entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and social engagement for residents
• Support the planning, scheduling, and implementation of quality activities based on resident care plans
• Maintain documentation of resident participation and activities
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Encourage participation and create enthusiasm during activities and events
• Support special events, group activities, and recreational programming
• Complete additional duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements

• One year of related experience preferred, especially in long-term care
• Creative, motivated, and organized team player
• Passion for working with seniors and encouraging resident participation
• Reliable professional with strong attendance and communication skills
• Compassionate and enthusiastic about providing genuine hometown care
• Positive attitude and willingness to support residents and teammates

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of long-term care and senior living environments
