Activities Assistant
About the role
We seek compassionate and thoughtful individuals who share our passion for exceptional care in senior living. You will be part of a small team environment of caring professionals supported by a vast network of skilled nursing centers.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, pre-plan and implement floor activities based on center activity schedule
- Use Monthly calendar ideas to plan and organize “special” floor activities
- Prepare special snacks with residents
- Set-up the dining room tables for activities
- Clean-up after all activities
- Complete required logs and charting
- Keep all activity areas clean, safe, and free from clutter
- Auxiliary residents to and from common areas as stated by their care plan
- Auxiliary other departments with residents as needed and required
- Weekends, holidays, and evenings required
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or general equivalency
- 6 college credits in applicable study as required by NCCAP
- 500 hours of experience in activity programming
- Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant or NCCAP Certification
