Activities Assistant

About the role

Seaside Skilled Rehabilitation Center is a leading provider of comprehensive rehabilitation and physical therapy services for Southern Maine. Located on Portland’s Back Cove, we offer short term or long term care, extended rehabilitation, respite, and hospice services. We follow in First Atlantic Healthcare's long-standing reputation for excellence in Long Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Execute a daily schedule of activities including music, arts and crafts, exercise classes, games, and religious services.
• Provide meaningful bedside visits for residents who may be unable to attend group functions.
• Contribute new ideas for monthly calendars that cater to diverse cognitive and physical abilities (including memory care).
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress as required by state and federal regulations.
• Assist in the safe transport of residents to and from activity areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move activity equipment (up to 25 lbs).
• CNA certification is a plus but not required.
• Valid Maine Driver's License; with a clean driving record.
• Computer skills.
• CPR Certification.
