Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct a program of activities which provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression and fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs which will be available to all residents of the facility.
• Assists in providing (based on the comprehensive assessment and care plan and the preferences of each patient) an ongoing program to support patients in their choice of activities, both facility-sponsored group and individual activities and independent activities, designed to meet the interests of and support the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each patient, encouraging both independence and interaction in the community.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
